This was promoted by FASO at $1325, so I will honor that price. Part of "Woodland Series"; an exploration of the complex tangle of our southeastern forests. This one inspired by North Alabama Land Trust property on Monte Sano in autumn. My home and studio are at the edge of the woods, and I spend a lot of time hiking and painting under the forest canopy. Often it's hard to see the forest for all the trees. This kind of painting (I have done quite a few that have this spirit) doesn't easily conform to the guidelines for good composition. I do think it is closer to what Contemporary Master Quang Ho describes as an "equalization" painting.
